The Almighty Sometimes, starring OSC Harry Gilchrist, is funny, raw and heartbreakingly honest. A play about a mother and daughter locked in a battle over the most impossible question: how much risk is too much when it comes to the people you love? Winner of the Judge's Award at the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting and acclaimed around the world, this is one of the most powerful Australian plays of the last decade.

Year 11 & 12 students have been invited to attend the performance of The Almighty Sometimes by Black Swan Theatre Company. The ATAR course includes the study and performance of representational theatre, so will be incredibly beneficial for students to see this style of theatre professionally performed. The excursion is voluntary and tickets are limited. Parents/guardians will be responsible for the $35 ticket price. 

Students will make their own way to and from the event, arriving at the Subiaco Arts Centre at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. The production runs for 2hrs 45mins with a collection time of 10.20pm. The play has the following content warning; coarse language, depictions of and references to suicide, mental illness and prescription drug use.
