Event Description

Senior School Literacy Enrichment Programme

School of Mathematics & Commerce

The Senior School Literacy Enrichment Programme is a small, selective series of five early-morning sessions designed to extend students who show strong interest in literacy. This term, the focus is on poetry writing, where students will read and analyse established poets, experiment with techniques such as imagery and structure, and develop their own original poem. By the end of the programme, each participant will have produced a refined piece of work. The programme also offers opportunities for recognition, including consideration for a school poetry prize and entry into the Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Awards. The trainings will be held every Thursday morning between Weeks 4-8 of Autumn Term.
