The Year 3E and 3W boys will be visiting Perth Zoo to engage in a research activity relating to animal habitats and to use the excursion as a provocation into our final UOI that explores the adaptations of living and non-living things. As such this excursion relates to our transdisciplinary themes ‘How the World Works’. It is a wonderful way for the boys to observe how different environments significantly influence the way that animals develop adaptations.
We will be leaving Scotch College by bus at 8.30 am and will return at 3.00pm. Please ensure that your son arrives to school well before 8.30am. The boys will need to bring their fruit snack, recess, a full water bottle and lunch packed in a light rucksack that they can carry throughout the day. Sunscreen should be applied and, if the school brand is unsuitable, an alternative should be packed.
The boys will be back in time for the end of the normal school day however should delays occur this will be communicated via the Scotch App.
