On Thursday 22 May, the Year 4 boys will be competing in a JPSSA Hockey Carnival at Hale School Playing Grounds. The boys will compete in a round robin tournament against Hale and Christ Church. We will depart Scotch at 12.30pm for a 1.05pm start. The Carnival will conclude at 2.30pm. Boys will then be transported back to Scotch College via bus.

Parents are welcome to come and enjoy the carnival and take their son home at the conclusion. If you do wish to take your son from the venue, it is a requirement that you confirm this with your son’s classroom teacher before you leave so all boys are accounted for.Boys are to be dressed in their sport uniform with their tracksuit, if it is a cool day. Other items that will be needed are:

• Water bottle
• Hat
• Sunscreen (will also be provided)
• Mouth guard - NO MOUTHGUARD NO PLAY
• Shin pads
• Hockey stick (If your son does not have a hockey stick the school will provide one for him)

Your sons have been working hard on their hockey skills during their physical education lessons in the run up to the carnival and are excited to participate in the upcoming games. Please note, this is a participation carnival and scoring does not occur.
