The Year 3 students will use this excursion to the Perth Zoo as a provocation to their final unit of Inquiry - How the World Works and to engage in hands on learning about animal adaptations.

We aim to inspire curiosity and questioning, foster engagement and encourage deep thinking skills.

The details are as follows:

When:                   Wednesday 16 October 2024

Time:                     8.30am – 3.15pm                                                                                              

Transport:             Bus with seatbelts

Dress:                   Sports Uniform, broad brimmed hat & sunscreen applied prior to school.

Bring:                    Morning tea, refillable water bottle, healthy and substantial lunch in a light rucksack to carry throughout the day. No canteen orders on this day.

 

We will be leaving Scotch College at 8.30am and will return at 3.00pm. Please ensure that your son arrives to school well before 8.30am. If boys are late, parents are responsible for taking their son to meet the group at the Perth Zoo in South Perth.

Sunscreen should be applied prior to coming to school, and if the school brand is unsuitable, an alternative is to be packed by parents.

The boys will be back in time for the end of the normal school day. Any delays will be posted via the Scotch APP, (please make sure you have opened and refreshed the Scotch APP as a precaution).
