The Scotch College Orientation Day is a full day programme during which students will have the opportunity to experience and participate in a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities as well as familiarising themselves with the Middle School campus and meeting peers and teaching staff.

NEW STUDENTS

• New Year 6 and Year 7, 2026 students will meet at the Gooch Pavilion before being taken across to the MS Quad by Scotch staff.
• Please wear your school PE Uniform and enclosed shoes.
• Please bring your own water bottle, hat, morning tea and lunch.
• Boys can be collected from the Gooch Pavilion at 3.25pm.

CURRENT SCOTCH STUDENTS

• Current Scotch Year 5 (Year 6, 2026) students will initially meet in their Year 5 classrooms at 8:30am and will be directed to the Middle School Quad to join their group leaders for the rest of the day.
• Current Scotch Year 6 (Year 7, 2026) students will initially meet in their PCG classrooms at 8:30am and will be directed to the Middle School Quad to join their group leaders for the rest of the day.
• Please wear your Scotch PE shorts, House shirt and enclosed shoes.
• Please bring own water bottle and a hat.
• Please bring own morning tea and lunch on the day (canteen will be open for online orders only).
• Current Year 5 and Year 6 students will be dismissed from Junior and Middle School as per usual.

Parent information

Year 6 (Year 7 2026) parents are are invited to stay for tea/coffee before a welcome address with Mr James Hindle, Head of Middle School and the Middle School Leadership Team at MacKellar Hall. Current parents, please wear your Scotch College name badges.
