2025 is the 80th anniversary of Book Week celebrations and the theme is Book an Adventure.

Each year since 1945 the Children's Book Council of Australia has brought children and books together across Australia through Children's Book Week®. During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators. Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.

On Wed 20 Aug members of the Senior School community are invited to dress up in the theme of mismatched, with a gold coin donation going towards the Indigenous Literacy Fund.

Everyone is welcome to visit the BRC for a reading sit-in each lunchtime throughout the week.
