All new students enrolled for Year 6 and Year 7 in 2025 will participate in a full day Orientation programme. If you have any queries please contact the Admissions Team.

The Scotch College Orientation Day is a full day programme during which students will have the opportunity to experience and participate in a variety of curricular and co-curricular activities as well as familiarising themselves with the Middle School campus and meeting peers and teaching staff.

• Current Year 6 (Year 7 2025) will initially meet in their PCG classrooms at 8:30am and will be directed to the Middle School Quad to join their group leaders for the rest of the day.
• Current Year 7 students (Year 8 2025) will head out on an excursion to Adventure World. Students are to assemble on the Middle School grass area near the bus slipway on Shenton Road ready for 8:30am.
• Current Year 8 (Year 9 2025) will attend Orientation Day in the Senior School. Students should assemble in Memorial Hall ready for an 8:25am start.

Student requirements:

 Current Year 6 (Year 7 2025) students:

• Scotch PE shorts, House shirt and enclosed shoes.
• bring own water bottle and a hat.
• bring their own morning tea and lunch on the day (canteen will be open for online orders only).

Current Year 7 (Year 8 2025) students:

• Scotch PE uniform, rashie or a swimming top, school hat, towel, enclosed shoes and a change of clothes (sunscreen will be available).
• Students are required to bring a packed recess and lunch including a large water bottle. No canteen orders will be available.
• Boarders will be provided with a packed lunch.

Current Year 8 (Year 9 2025) students:

• Wear neat, casual clothes.
• A hat.
• A drink bottle.
• Morning tea and lunch, or a Smartrider (linked to Flexischools) or debit/credit card to purchase from the Canteen.

Parent information

Year 6 (Year 7 2025) parents are are invited to the Dining Hall after drop-off for tea/coffee before a welcome address with Mr Brad Gill, Head of Middle School and the Middle School Leadership Team. Current parents, please wear your Scotch College name tags.

Current Year 6 and Year 7 students will be dismissed from Middle School as per usual.
