THE LARAMIE PROJECT BY MOISES KAUFMAN & THE MEMBERS OF THE TECTONIC THEATRE PROJECT

The Laramie Project is a groundbreaking piece of documentary theatre based on more than 200 interviews with the residents of Laramie, Wyoming after the brutal and homophobic murder of Matthew Shepard in 1998, a crime that sparked national outrage and debate worldwide. In a world where discrimination, intolerance and bullying still make headlines, the messages in The Laramie Project remain as significant as when it was first performed in 2000. This is a play that explores the depths of humanity and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
